"O.M.I. (in the silo)" August 2005 (AUDIO): I visited the campus of Music Omi where I was a resident fellow in 2001. There's a wonderful, empty silo on the grounds that everyone uses to rehearse or just to play. I was intimidated by the silo in 2001, but I went back in 2005 to record. This piece is constructed of three acapella lines -- "Oh, "Eye" and "Mmm" -- that I took apart and used to compose this piece that not only spells the name of the place, "OMI" but, in a riff of the meditative "Aum" also expresses my personal astonishment of "Oh, am I in the silo?"
